How can you connect Facebook and films? Well, for one, many members from this social networking website feature motion pictures in their pages. Second, and most importantly, it is included in the plot of a new box office release. If you love looking up new movies in theater, check out “The Social Network”. This 2010 drama film, which is under the direction of David Fincher, depicts the founding of Facebook. It is based on “The Accidental Billionaires”, which is a nonfiction book by Ben Mezrich.
Synopsis
This is a biographical drama film, which chronicles the start of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s rise to fame. Starting out as a Harvard University sophomore who crashes some parts of the school’s network because of his “FaceMash” website, he moves on to become a Web superstar when he launches Facebook together with his best friend, Eduardo Saverin. Throughout the movie, his relationships with other people are examined, including with Saverin and founding-president Sean Parker. The last part of the flick features Zuckerberg going through two lawsuits.
